Rowdy Mermaid is seeking a Cellar Person  to join the rowdy team based at our Boulder, CO office. The Cellar Person is responsible for a variety of daily tasks for both the brewing and packaging teams. This includes but is not limited to: cleaning fermentors, totes, brite tanks, kegging, and occasionally working on the canning line. The cellar person will fill in anywhere when production demands exist. This role requires acute attention to detail and dedication to following Rowdy Mermaid SOPs. This position reports to the Production Manager. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • CIP / SIP of fermentors, totes, and brite tanks 
  • Completion of all paperwork associated with cleaning tasks 
  • General facility cleaning 
  • Ingredient processing and mixing
  • Assisting Brewers with any other brewing related tasks
  • Filling in on canning line when necessary 
  • Understand all general brewery and packaging specific SOPs 
  • Understand cGMPS for the Rowdy Mermaid facilities, especially where brewing is concerned 
  • Operation of forklift, pallet jack, pumps, filters, hoses, and any equipment related to brewing in a safe manner 
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of production facility 

○ Understand chemical regimes and processes for all cleaning procedures

○ Maintain order of all packaging equipment and materials including but not limited to cans, cases, labels, and pallets 

○ Know and maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly cleaning schedules for packaging equipment 

○ Proper storing of equipment

  • Help provide a positive atmosphere for production staff 
  • Help in all factory audits 
  • Gain an understanding of the kombucha brewing process 
  • Gain and maintain an understanding of company values 
  • Be an advocate for the brand 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds 
  • Detail Oriented 
  • Positive attitude 
  • Self motivated 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 1 year or more experience working with carbonated beverages
  • 1 year experience working with tri clamps and brewing equipment
  • Experience working with canned beverages
  • Has a love for natural products, keeps pace with the industry, and champions brands
  • Experience with a high-growth emerging brand
  • Understanding of CIP/SIP procedures

COMPENSATION 

Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $18.00 based on previous experience 

Full Time: 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime on occasion
